We have a Monthly and Annual Subscriptions the annual is amortized Over 12 Month to have our Monthly Revenue . So in Jan. 2024 to calculate the ratios should i add YTD December + Jan Revenue and start calculating the ratios? . Your Excel Line 66 is accumulated Figures or the Monthly revenue of every Month Only

But we are still spending CAC on not retained users , so how do we say 115$ CAC is no problem.
You just compare it to the LTV, lifetime CAC vs. lifetime gross profit.
How do you track and separate organic from paid results successfully?😊
It is much harder than it used to be, nobody has a perfect answer. As one of my marketer friends says "if I had a perfect attribution model I'd be a billionaire", haha. Depends on the channel. Good test is to pause paid campaigns and see what happens. Also a lot of attribution software like Elevar (for FB) that can help. Need to compare all your analytics and try to get as close to attribution as possible.

Yep these are the classic metrics, I'd still use them. Only thing is that since all the privacy tracking has been rolled out the paid vs. blended CAC is a bit harder to differentiate. But CAC is still key to understand.
The avg number of months to profitability per customer seems like its an important metric, does it have a name? (Ie 3 months in your example ar the very end of the video)

Yes, wholesale. Can we also say coupons are part of advertising costs?
@kel78v2 Would you consider anything in there to be a CAC? Maybe the comp/commissions of sales team? Anything else? I would more be focusing on contribution margins per unit and sell through rate.

Great explanation, is there any other considertations when the PE firm is a publically traded company? Does that affect taxes or they usualyl still operate out of this shell company format?

Really appreciate the video man, I've been in ecommerce for a while, but I'm realizing how little I understand about financials, so these ecom-specific businesses are GREAT! I'm missing something though, can you explain why we're subtracting per-unit COGs from average order value, when the average order is more than one product? Does that make sense?

My ARR and my MRR are not matching up. I own a security company and I acquire a lot of new customers per month. I’m just trying to calculate profit but it is proving to be difficult
ARR is just your MRR * 12, what isn't matching?
Such an informational video Eric. One quick question to arrive at enterprise value do we need to discount the free cash flows or the net cash flows. Thanks in Advance!
Free cash flow because that is what is available to the business to pay debt (or whatever it wants, but that is the cash available to pay out to owners/creditors in whatever way they want). Net is the cash flow AFTER owners are paid. Free cash flow is the cash flow before the financing section where you would see all that. Great video man. But this isn't suitable for a brand new ecom start up? Since how can we predict all the churn rates etc. We need to have some sales first prior to applying this if im correct?
Yes to some extent, but it depends, always good to make starting assumptionsto figure out your business model. Are you subscription-based company or no?
Question: Aren't COGS intended to include all COGS (even for refunded transactions)? Aren't those cost sunk after the transaction occurs? That said this is super helpful. I always pull these up for my team
Yep, totally. Didn't really cover that in this video but the extra COGS would just hit normally and you'd have the revenue reversed out at the top as "refunds", depends on the business model in some cases can be even 5% of revenue+. One thing I recommend is offering buy one get one free (or other bundles) or discounts where you say "no refunds", can help a lot.
